Last week Jeff had a pretty lucky day at work.
He got there and found out he didn't have to eat the lunch he packed because there was some work festival thing going on so he got free pizza and pop-- lucky!
He went out with his boss for some coffee and got a pumpkin spice latte, my favorite (I was jealous)-- lucky!
He found out he got to wear jeans the next day for the Husker game. They never get to wear jeans to work.-- lucky!
Oh yeah, he also won a 32 GB i-Pod touch!-- LUCKY!
The work festival thing was brought to them by Nationwide Bank and United Way or something like that. They wanted them to donate money and to put their money into Nationwide's bank. Well, if you donated to the United Way you could register for an iPad. That does not suit our lifestyle so we didn't want it. And the whole two office buildings could enter their names in a raffle for the i-Pod touch. Out of a couple hundred names, our own Jeff won!
He wasn't there when they pulled his name but news flies fast around office buildings and he was on the phone with a client when he got the message. He didn't really believe them at first and was trying to be a good employee and finish his phone call. But yes, it was true, he won!!
They also were given little codes to try on some website to win other items. Jeff's code didn't even register as a legit code but he thought that was fine because he already won something but some guy he knows won a Nook which is pretty cool. Jeff's boss told Jeff that if he wins the i-Pad too he was going to fight him. Luckily, Jeff didn't win that ;-)
Now Jeff and I can be kind of cool and do everything that i-Phones can do except make calls which is okay because we have our crappy razor phones from the dinosaur days and we will use those until they die or our phone company forces us to kill them. (Which is why we avoid our phone company at all costs!)
Well here is a picture of the lucky guy with his prize. Pardon the angle of the pic. I was laying on the couch, too lazy to sit up. And I'm okay with that laziness factor.
