"On a further note, we are being asked to interview several individuals who are "surplussed" or been given "unassigned" contracts. Individuals in each of these categories are guaranteed a position in LPS. Therefore, all schools with vacancies will be required to select individuals representing these two categories. How many, I do not know. On the afternoon of our interviewing I will share with each interview team the names of the individuals selected to interview and which category they represent: "surplus", "unassigned", "transfer request" or someone I selected to interview. Let me say that there are really good candidates in each of these categories! We have good candidates to interview!"
This means that all schools must pull from this pool of tenured teachers who have to have a spot somewhere. Bummer!
